Yeah, I don't post very often, actually almost not at all.  For a while I was kind of a recluse, going through a bit of depression, just hanging out with my two dogs, or going out with my buddy from work, doing a lot of drinking. I tried the online dating thing for about a year now, and after many failed dates, of my own awkwardness, I actually found a match about 2 months ago.  Not that it's anyone's business but my own, but I think I may have found the coolest girl ever, or at least the most compatible with me.  I am happy now.  Which is good, because the thoughts that go through your head while dealing with depression are not very healthy ones.

I'm applying for a new maintenance job, and took a couple of skills test today, and did well.  Now I have an interview next week, and all is starting to look up and up.  If all goes well, I will have a large increase in pay, more days off, and get to work in a clean environment for once.

I think it's time to get myself a fuzzy friend.  I have gave it some thought, and it's time to get a dog.  I'm a cat person, but it's time to take the challenge of getting, raising, and training a dog.  I bought a house, and have the room, so now it's a matter of decision.  I'm going to look at some dogs this week, and am going to make a decision.

I went to a show last night, and it would have been awesome, if the main act didn't cancel right before they went on stage.  Drove from Lincoln to Omaha to see Black Label Society, who was touring with 2 Cents, Children of Bodum, and Clutch.  But, during Clutch's set, they had to rush front man Zakk Wylde to a Omaha hospital because he has a problem with blood clotting in his leg.  It was such a bummer. I had to burn a vacation day, just to go to Omaha and not get to see them play.  They promised to give us ticket holders a free show later in the future, but I guess I will just have to wait and see.

The seller and I came to a compromise, I signed my life away for a 30 years.  I will own a house in late October.  Jeez, I'm a single bachelor in my early 30's, and soon to be a home owner, what's next?  I can't complain, I got the house that I want, at the price that I want, now all my spare time will probably be working on my newly acquired house. I can't wait to start hosting backyard barbeque's.
